Cage Fitness Instructor (HIIT based in MMA)
Cage Fitness is a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) program that distills the conditioning of a professional Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) athlete into a non-contact fitness regimen. Research in sports science indicates that the "stop-and-start" nature of HIIT is superior for metabolic conditioning and fat oxidation compared to steady-state cardio.
Join Michael Alban, a martial arts and self-defense expert with over 20 years of experience, to learn how to focuse on the four key pillars of MMA fitness: endurance, strength, power, and core stability, utilizing heavy bags or weighted dummies to simulate the resistance of an opponent.

I have been involved in the martial arts for 20 years. I hold a 4th Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo. Between 2002 - 2021, I operated my own studio in Rochelle Park, New Jersey. Now that I am located in Texas, I am offering my services as a personal self-defense trainer and Muay Thai/Kickboxing for individuals, families, and small groups. I also offer seminars for businesses, schools, churches, and other organizations. As a COBRA Instructor, I am able to teach a variety of COBRA courses such as Active Shooter Response Plan, Child Abduction Prevention, and Real Estate Agent Safety Training.
